The Habitat Wales Scheme is an area-based agri-environment scheme available to all eligible farmers in Wales.

The aims of the scheme are to:

  • Protect habitat land previously under Glastir Advanced in 2023 up to the anticipated introduction of the Sustainable Farming Scheme (SFS).
  • Introduce additional habitat land, not currently under paid management, into sustainable land management prior to SFS entry.
  • Maintain environmental support for common land currently under Glastir management.

Through this page you can access habitat layers used to identify eligible habitat land and objective layers used as part of the scoring and selection process.
