Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail
Welsh Government
The concept of a Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail is part of the development of the National Forest that spans Wales. The Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail will help create a network of interconnected trails running the length and breadth of Wales joining up National Forest woodland sites.
The ambition is that the Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail will bring the following benefits:
- Connect people to woodlands and nature improving physical and mental health;
- Provide economic and tourism opportunities for local businesses and groups; and
- Improve biodiversity and resilience of our woodland environments by establishing ‘green corridors’ and supporting greater levels of tree/hedgerow planting where appropriate.
A pilot section of the Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail will start from Porthkerry to Glyn Neath. The lessons learned from delivering this pilot section will help inform the further development of the Llwybr Coedwig Cymru Trail across Wales.
The colour of the trails on the map represent each different section of the trail. They do not represent the type of path.
