- Slope for Landspreading
- Abstract
The Slope for Landspreading layer is a dataset derived from height data. It provides a colourised visual representation of pertinent slope angles for the regulation of landspreading activities.
The GIS slope layer was primarily developed by the Natural Resources Wales Tackling Waste Crime officer in 2020. It was developed as an upstream intervention to be utilised during the deployment application process for the spreading of waste materials to land as a measurable upstream intervention.
Landspreading is an area of work for NRW that is broader than waste recovery. The same restrictions regarding slope that apply to the spreading of waste materials also apply to none-waste materials.
