Mid and South West Wales: Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Powys, and Swansea.
South East Wales: Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Torfaen, and Vale of Glamorgan.
These boundaries illustrate these three areas.
The region of Mid and South West Wales was formerly split into the following two economic regions which were made up of the following local authorities:
Mid Wales: Ceredigion and Powys
South West Wales: Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea.
This former region split is not represented in this dataset.
