- Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Programme 2022-23
- Abstract
- <p>The Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Programme provides grant funding to Local Authorities and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to undertake capital investment to reduce the risks from flooding and/or coastal erosion. Funding is allocated at the start of the financial year for work to be undertaken over that year. This not only includes the construction of new assets but also the preparatory work through business cases prior to construction commencing.</p> <p><strong>Purpose</strong></p> <p>This map sets out the schemes which the Minister for Climate Change and Rural Affairs has allocated funding for in the 2022-23 budget. These schemes will be delivered by Local Authorities and Natural Resources Wales.</p> <p><strong>Data Quality</strong></p> <p>The information contained within this map has been provided by the Local Authorities and NRW who are responsible for delivering these schemes. </p> <p>Funding to progress to construction is subject to completion and agreement of an appropriate business case and obtaining relevant permissions and consents.</p> <p>Costs remain estimates until the work has been tendered.</p> <p>In some cases, schematic location may not be exact and may be an approximate location / centre point within the Authority.</p>
