Data from 01/04/2013 to 29/02/2016 was stored in the legacy National Incident Recording System and provided as a separate file. Data after 01/03/2016 is stored in the Incident Recording System. Only substantiated and closed environmental pollution incidents, where we have categorised them as High or Category 1 (High Major or Major Incident) or Category 2 (High Minor or Significant Incident) based on our previous classification levels) are included in this dataset.

Where these data indicate an incident occurred on a particular site or property no inference should be drawn that the site or property owner necessarily was responsible.
