Have Your Say: Help Shape the Active Travel Network in Powys

Powys County Council is updating its Active Travel Network Map (ATNM) - and we want to hear from you!

Under the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013, all local authorities in Wales must regularly review and improve walking, wheeling, and cycling provisions, and map all routes in designated towns that meet Welsh Government standards. Our current Active Travel Network Map was approved by the Welsh Government in 2022. Since then, several active travel projects have been completed and will be added to the map as part of this refresh.

What’s Being Updated?

The updated map will include:

  • Existing Routes in designated towns: These are routes that meet Welsh Government standards for walking, wheeling and cycling (or all three).
  • Future Routes in designated towns: These are proposed routes that either don’t yet exist or need improvements to meet the required standards.

We Need Your Feedback

This is the first stage of the map refresh, and your input is essential. Whether you walk, wheel, cycle, or simply care about better travel options in Powys, we want your ideas on how to improve the network.
