Have Your Say: Help Shape Pembrokeshire’s Active Travel Network

Pembrokeshire County Council is updating its Active Travel Network Map (ATNM)—and we want to hear from you.

Under the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013, all local authorities in Wales must regularly review and enhance their walking, wheeling and cycling routes. Our current map was approved by the Welsh Government in 2022, and we are now reviewing it to reflect the changes and improvements made over the past three years.

Following a 12-week statutory consultation, that concluded in April this year legislation requires councils to give the public an opportunity to confirm that their views have been properly considered. This consultation represents that next stage.

We are asking for your feedback on the following:

• Have we identified appropriate potential new (future) routes
• Have we correctly identified which existing routes could be improved?
• Are we accurate in our assessment of routes that already meet the agreed standards (existing routes)?

Please note that this consultation does not include issues relating to Public Rights of Way or any Highway matters not associated with walking, wheeling or cycling as these are not covered in the Active Travel Network Map review.
