Active Travel Network Map (ATNM) Update 2026

Background Information

Neath Port Talbot Council is currently updating its Active Travel Network Map (ATNM).

The ATNM sets out the existing network of walking, wheeling, and cycling routes across the borough, as well as proposed future routes for development and improvement.

Last year, we invited your views on how the network could be improved. We received 579 responses from residents, stakeholders, and community groups—thank you to everyone who took the time to share their ideas.

All feedback has been carefully reviewed and has helped shape a range of updates to the map. Wider issues raised have also been shared with relevant council departments to consider as part of ongoing work. More information on the results of the previous engagement is available on our webpage.

We are now inviting your views on the updated map of routes.
