- Abstract
- <p>In April 2023, the Minister for Climate Change agreed the schemes which would make up the 2023-24 Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Programme. These schemes led by Local Authorities and Natural Resources Wales aim to reduce the risk from flooding and/or coastal erosion to homes across Wales.</p> <p>This map shows the approximate locations of the schemes where funding has been allocated for the 2023-24 financial year.</p> <p>The data shown in this map is accurate as of the 20 April 2023 and could have been subject to change after this date.</p> <p><strong>Natural Flood Management Accelerator programme</strong></p> <p>The two-year NFM Accelerator programme follows a Programme for Government commitment to deliver nature-based flood management solutions across all major river catchments.</p> <p>The programme will help Risk Management Authorities work together with Welsh farmers, landowners and third sector organisations on nature-based solutions that reduce flood risk.</p> <p>This map shows the approximate locations of the schemes where funding has been allocated for the 2023-24 & 2024-25 financial years.</p> <p>The data shown in this map is accurate as of the 25 October 2023.</p>

- <p>The information contained within this map has been provided by the Local Authorities and NRW who are responsible for delivering these schemes. </p> <p>Whilst this funding has been allocated for these schemes, it is for the relevant Risk Management Authority (Local Authorities and Natural Resources Wales) to progress and deliver these scheme.</p> <p>Funding to progress to construction is subject to completion and agreement of an appropriate business case and obtaining relevant permissions and consents.</p> <p>Costs remain estimates until the work has been tendered.</p>
