Funding is allocated at the start of the financial year for work to be undertaken over that year. This not only includes the construction of new assets but also the preparatory work through business cases prior to construction commencing. Welsh Government also provide NRW with funding for a wide range of activities including small scale maintenance works up to £100,000.
