TAN 8 was revoked in February 2021 on the publication of Future Wales: The National Plan 2040. The SSAs identified in TAN 8 have been replaced by the Pre-Assessed Areas for Wind Energy identified in Future Wales. The SSA areas are of historic interest and are shown here for this reason. The SSAs identified the areas most appropriate for large scale wind farm development at the time of their publication. Please note that these are maps of the original TAN 8 SSAs.
